Pastor Gordy and family

Gordy Sandquist


Reverend Gordon L Sandquist came to Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit after serving at a two-point parish in rural Kansas for six years.

He brings a plethora of ministry experience to LCHS after serving many years in ministry at Denver and Golden area churches. He has also served in youth ministry at Sky Ranch Lutheran Camp near Fort Collins and in Minnesota.

Karen Braband

Parish Administrator

Karen is a graduate of the University of Wyoming with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Spanish and a Master of Arts degree in Spanish.

She spent five years working in a small office setting for the World Trade Center Denver before moving into volunteer roles in her community while her children were young. Karen began serving LCHS as Parish Administrator in May 2012.

Rick Mezey

Music Director

Rick Mezey has served the music ministry at Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit as Organist since August of 2001 and as Organist & Choirmaster since August of 2004.

He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from the Eastman School of Music in 1973 and his Master's Degree in Music Education from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 1993.


Erik Williams

Youth Director

Erik has had the privilege to serve in youth ministry at LCHS since August of 2010.

Erik has worked with youth nearly his entire life.  He has worked many summers at Rainbow Trail Lutheran Camp as a camp hand, counselor, and backpack guide while attending the University of Northern Colorado (GO BEARS!) and receiving his his BA in History and Sociology.

Erik says that Rainbow Trail is responsible for his ability to create Christ focused programming while being able to keep the activities enjoyable and active.  Erik is a self-proclaimed super nerd because of his love for Star Wars, Xbox, and rapping in his basement.
